Vote for Susan Murray Board of Health
I'm running for the Board of Health because I believe our community’s well-being starts where our food begins—with our farms. As a farmer and former scientist, I understand the critical link between sustainable agriculture and public health. Protecting our land, water, and air isn’t just environmental policy—it’s essential to ensuring a safe, healthy future for our families.
I bring a level-headed, evidence-based approach that blends scientific knowledge with real-world practicality. With experience in science, agriculture, and regulatory processes, I analyze issues logically, solve problems effectively, and ensure policies are both data-driven and achievable. Most importantly, I listen—valuing diverse perspectives to make informed, balanced decisions for our community.
Local farmers don’t just grow food—we grow community, and I’m committed to keeping Dartmouth a thriving, healthy place for all.
Hello. My name is Susan Murray and I am running for the Board of Health in my hometown of Dartmouth. I hope you will take the time to vote in our town elections on April 1, 2025 and I hope you will consider voting for me for the Board of Health.
My husband, Tony Wood, and I own and manage Flying Carrot Farm on Elm St. I grew up in Dartmouth, and we’ve chosen to put down roots here—running our farm and raising our daughter. I love the strong sense of community, from the connections we’ve built around our farm to our neighborhood and our daughter’s soccer team. Vibrant communities are what make Dartmouth a great place to live and work. It's the Board of Health's job to help support and protect these communities, and as a member of the Board of Health, I’m committed to promoting healthy communities.
